On 15 August 2024, a ceremony was held at the Espinas Palace Hotel in Tehran to celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of India, an IORA country. Independence Day is celebrated annually on 15 August as a public holiday in India commemorating the nation's independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947, the day when the provisions of the Indian Independence Act, which transferred legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly, came into effect.
Dr. Sanjabi, the Director of the Regional Centre for Science and Technology Transfer (RCSTT), was invited by the Ambassador of India in Tehran, H.E. Mr. Rudra Gaurav Shresth, to participate in the celebration. During the event, Dr. Sanjabi congratulated the Ambassador and the people of the Republic of India on their National Day. He also discussed the ongoing cooperation between RCSTT and India, one of the most important and impressive countries in IORA, in science, technology transfer, and innovation, expressing hope for further improvement in this collaboration.
